There has always been a harmony between farmers and artists within the rural countryside.
The following page consists of a variety of artists that cover the theme of farming or its surrounding landscape. Farming has always been an underlying theme within art since early renaissance paintings. As farming has developed over the years farming themed artwork has also developed. This is due to younger artists who have grown up in the rural countryside coming into the art scene. This change can be seen clearly from the earlier painting based art of John Constable to the modern installations of Carwyrn Evans.
