John Constable is one of the most well known artists that relates to the British countryside. He takes a different approach on capturing the landscape compared to most artists that were around at the same time as him. His work is seen as traditional as he uses detail to obtain the historical features of the British countryside. There is often a seasonal event occurring within his paintings ranging from ploughing fields to collecting hay, which ties the theme of farming and art nicely together.
